our favorite tradition(s) are going out to the local tree farm to cut a tree and going to Christmas mass.
The hunt for the tree is fantastic, isn’t it? Love those family traditions.
Our family tradition is to do lots of baking and on the morning of the 24th to deliver to friends and folks who do not get out to bring them a sense of family and make them smile. To us, Christmas is about time with family and friends and giving, not receiving.
What a blessing that is, Sue. Good for you.
Baking…and filling the house with the aromas of Christmas!
mmmm…my kinda Christmas! 😀
Our family tradition is to draw names and give something that you have personally made.
So much fun to see what the grandchildren make.
That sounds like a wonderful tradition, Carol.
I sewed pajama bottoms for my two sons to wear Christmas eve, now they are grown with families of their own, they carry on the tradition by getting pajamas for my four + two new grandbabies this year year on Christmas eve.
We do similar things too! Nothing like new pj’s at Christmas.
So thrilled to be a part of your generous dream of helping others. You have a beautiful spirit! Thanks for letting me chip in on this gift of the heart! Happy Holidays XO
Thank you so much, Wendi! I couldn’t have done it without all of you.
My favorite family tradition is putting up the tree on Saturday after Thanksgiving and reading the Christmas story on Christmas story on Christmas Eve.
I can imagine so many memories were made.
baking buttermilk pie and going out for Chinese food are some favorite traditions
hahaha…that’s an awesome combo! I have yet to try buttermilk pie, but I’m sure I’d love it. Maybe this is the year. 😉
We ALWAYS are excited to watch It’s a Wonderful Life for the first time in December!!
Ooh…that’s a good one!
Signed up for the mailing list (and following so many wonderful pages on Pinterest and Instagram now) – thank you for the opportunity, Larissa!!
They are wonderful ladies for sure. I couldn’t have done it without them!

yahoo!! Thanks. 😉
I have always wanted to own a VW bus but I don’t think it is in the cards for me. This would be the closest I could come and I would love to have it in my home for my hubby.
I hear ya. That would be awesome for you and your hubby! 😀
I am so excited about this event Larissa and wish you MUCH success the auction in support of Samaritan’s Purse. Of course BEEP II is mahvelous dahling!
Me too, Marie! I’m praying for an awesome turnout. Thank you for all your lovin’!
I started a new tradition this year. I have 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with no birthdays in the summer. I decided to have my Christmas with the families at their home, nothing special, but me showing up with their gifts(for kids only). I was tired of my gifts being lost in the shuffle of Christmas and it gave the kids something new to play with during the summer months. I spend a lot of thought in my gifts and wanted to see that the kids would get some quality time with them. I will still go to the get together on Christmas eve for the fun, food and games with all the families. BTW, Christmas in July went over great with everyone.
Sounds like a plan! I bet it’s fun no matter what.
One more thing, I don’t do Instagram or Twitter. I have to have time away from social media so choose to only read blogs and Pinterest. I do love the dresser and last I checked am the highest bidder. Guess that was 2 more things. Take care and good luck with the auction. Happy Holidays!!!
hahaha…you sound like a kindred spirit, Linda. I wish you the best!
What a fantastic auction and giveaway! We decorate the living room with holiday lights and Chanukah decor.
Thanks! It is always a special time, isn’t it?
What an awesome project…thanks for sharing your talents!
It is my pleasure, Katie. Thank you!
Love this giveaway!! Great prizes. My favorite tradition is just keeping the magical believe of Santa alive and opening presents Christmas morning and always have a special one hid in the tree from Santa. My kids are 22, 23 & 24. Of course have the true meaning of Christmas as Jesus birthday too!!
Thanks! Sounds like a blast at your house!
I love getting together with family and playing games, eating together, and then hoping into bed next to a college kid to have talks and laughter. ; )
Just perfect.
I sent Beep II to my daughter-in-law. I think you have the best imagination. I’m glad the Brownie Camera was @ the end of the post for her to see too.
Awww…thanks! I hope she enjoys it. 🙂
Our tradition is to make potato candy and lots of different types of fudge (peanut butter is our favorite). Also string our ornaments from the ceiling along the top of our walls. We have 7 rescue kitties and a tree has been put on the back burner for the last few years as they would destroy it.
Never had potato candy?? Sounds good though! I hear ya about the tree. Thankfully, our cat is a good girl.
Now that our children are grown, hubby and I snuggle on the couch with a coffee (with Baileys) , watch a Christmas movie, and wait for the mayhem of Christmas day, with our children and grandchildren. It’s truly a wonderful life!!
Magical mayhem, right? 😀 It’s crazy, but a blessing for sure.
Taking in. Christmas play
Perfect!
i thought beep was outrageous but beep 2 is even better because i love red, our family traditions start with trimming the tree with hot cocoa and carols playing, and putting my Jesus is the reason for the season pin on my coat thanks to everyone forthe giveaway chance xx
Woot! Thank you! You have wonderful traditions and you’re welcome for the prizes – hope you win!
We love our desserts! Sugar cookies, and pecan pie mostly. (I do make the best pecan pie! Thank you, Martha Stewart)
hahaha…that’s awesome! Gotta love a good pee-can pie. 😉
Cooking Xmas dinner with my 3 daughters.
Good for you! I hope you have a blessed Christmas season.
favorite Christmas tradition that I’ve started with my daughters is putting up Christmas décor listening to the Love Actually soundtrack. We watch the movie every year!
Awesome!
My favorite tradition since I was a kid is going Christmas caroling. It’s sad that tradition seems to be fading. I’ve started a new tradition with my kids – every year I stock up on Christmas cards when they go on clearance after Christmas. Then come December we do a cards and carols day at the nursing home – we sign cards to give to all the residents, and sing carols for them. I also take boxes of cards to leave at each nursing home for residents who want to send cards to their family.
Yes, dying it is. Kudos to you for keeping it alive and for doing so much to bless others. 🙂
My husband still reads The Night Before Christmas to our grown kids
That’s wonderful for you and them!
A couple traditions are Christmas Eve service at church and our annual “Cookie Day”, family and friends bake and share recipes and we each have several different ones to keep.
That sounds like a wonderful tradition. Enjoy!
My favorite family Christmas tradition is getting together on Christmas Eve with my family. From my grandmother down to our grandchildren along with my brother and sister and their families. We don’t all get together that often but I can always count on seeing them all on Christmas Eve.
In my mind, that’s how heaven will be…a wonderful time of gathering together and being with the ones we love.
Our favorite tradition is to put the tree up together!
The best!
I signed up for your email list.
Every year, the weekend before Christmas, my family and my cousins’ family and our grandma get together to bake SO MANY treats. It’s so much fun and delicious. We try to bake new things every year!
Always fun to try something new!
My favorite Christmas tradition was having family all gather Christmas Eve for exchanging gifts then each part of the family (daughter & her littles, son and his littles) would have their Big stuff the next morning. I always enjoyed watching the grands open gifts! The delight in their eyes 🙂
Thanks for the chance to win.
Bev (mamabevi5)
My pleasure! Those types of memories are the best.
My favourite Christmas tradition is one I started with my boys. I buy them each a special ornament every year and a new pair of pajamas for Christmas eve. We stay up late watching Christmas movies with hot chocolate and cookies.
That’s a wonderful tradition. Many memories to be made!

We have many great traditions-making our own ornaments, cookies and candies and our annual invasion of my 300+ snowman collection 🙂
wowza!! 300+?? Amazing!
Email entered 🙂
We get together in our pj’s and watch “Polar Express” while we drink hot chocolate!
How fun!
I make a “Family Eggnog” that is really a glorified ice cream creation that originated in my husband’s family’s dairy business. It is a must for every Christmas.
That sounds delicious and something I know my husband and kids would love. Thanks for sharing!
My favorite traditions stem from my childhood where we celebrated Christmas Eve with my Swedish grandmother. My Mom & Grandma would prepare all of the Swedish food, and I would dress up as St Lucia and pass out gifts. I’m trying to keep the traditions going of celebrating our heritage with my family at this special time of the year!
That sounds like a wonderful time. Enjoy this holiday season!
Hi there. It is so great what you are doing by auctioning off this piece. I also Love the Lord and am filled with his Love daily. Our favorite Christmas tradition has always been getting hot chocolate and snacks and opening one Christmas present on Christmas Eve. Thank you so much for this opportunity??
It is my pleasure and thank you for sharing your family fun. 🙂
I remember your first Beep dresser, and I think it’s just great what you are all doing to make someone else’s Christmas extra special. Hope you raise lots of money for your charity! 😀
Thank you so much, Cynthia. I can only pray the blessing extends beyond what I could ever do.
