Intro to My Neurodiverse Marriage

How to start a post like this leaves me staring at my keyboard and screen. It's not because of embarrassment or shame, but rather because I want to do this right. Many of you have noticed a change in me and I've mentioned having to go through a very difficult time. In addition, I said that I would ... READ the POST

DIY Fabric Bowl Cover

What's new? Well, it's the last Tuesday of the month (already??), which means it's Reduce, Refashion, REFASHION time. That means I take a discarded item that's typically used in fashion, home decor, or fabric items within your home. You can see all my previous creations by tapping/clicking on the ... READ the POST

Antique Cheese Box DIY

Is it the norm for you to head to a thrift store or garage sale (even Curb le Chic) and not find one treasure, but two...or more? For me, that's an absolute YES! Take, for instance, this Amish-ish box. Isn't it so country-cute? {{insert sarcasm}} However, much like my non-geese-fetish, things like ... READ the POST

Antique Vanity Seat Makeover

Certainly I'm not the only one who would see this sad little antique vanity seat sitting there in the store all lonesome and feel bad for it, right? I mean, look at those turned legs, the awful vinyl upholstery that is begging to be ripped off. I say it's makeover time! {{fist pump}} Old ... READ the POST

Upcycled Wooden Trivet

Don't you love it when an idea hits you and that smack in the head leads to something fun? It will be the oddest moment at times that it strikes, or it will be in a flash. That's what keeps DIY interesting, challenging, and a delight to do. What you see below is a hot mess initially (pun intended), ... READ the POST

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
