Hollow Core Door Makeover

Oh, happy day! You guys...I have to tell you that I have so many things that have been going on since I listed my home back two years ago. ALREADY?? wow. With my family of 8, you can imagine there isn't much time for grass to grow under our feet, let alone have my bum on a sofa for long. So, I've ... READ the POST

Accent Table Makeover ~ Kids CREATE

One of the most profound joys in my life is being a mother. Not only a mother to one, but to six blessings on earth and two in heaven. All of my children are my BIGGEST fans and my best friends. Yes, we have moments that test us, but that's what family is for, right? What's more is when my kids know ... READ the POST

DIY Laundry Sign ~ Farmhouse Style

"The best things in life are free", yes that's true. Though, I'm also partial to "The best things in life are easy". haha. That's because free (as in curbside #trashure) usually ends up in a whole lotta elbow grease. What I'm referring to is a DIY project. If you take a peek below, you'll see ... READ the POST

Antique Laundry Cart DIY

It's always fun when I get a text or call from my dad asking if I want this or that. Honestly, my acceptance of such things depends on the space I have available and whether or not it sparks an idea in my noggin. This time around, I am able to visit him on location as he's working on a remodel with ... READ the POST

Upcycled Spindle Storage Rack

You're only as good as your word, right? Well, I'm here today to keep up my end of the written commitment I made to you when I first began the vintage caned chair upcycle. While I'm happy with what became of the main part of the chair, I totally couldn't let the dowel spreaders go to waste. Let's ... READ the POST

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
