DIY Apothecary Cabinet

It's that time again! While you know I will either embrace or erase hearts from the vintage decor I find. Take a peek at this heart cut-out shadow box I brought home. It's cute... but... this time around those hearts need to go. My vision is a DIY apothecary cabinet - do you see it? Now, ... READ the POST

Upcycled Mailbox into Boho Decor

As a gal who peruses "junk" for a living, there are times I find the funkiest stuff (aka. #trashure) curbside, thrift stores, or random spots I haunt. Sometimes I know what it is and then there are times like this. This is what I saw sitting on the shelf. Now, would you know right off what it is? I ... READ the POST

DIY Floating Cat Bed

Only one more month until the new year is upon us, can you believe it? It's the last Tuesday of the month and that means that it's Reduce, Reuse, REFASHION time. Yes, I haven't done a refashion in a couple of months for many reasons, but I'm back in the saddle today! When out thrifting, I saw this ... READ the POST

Replacing my Basement Window – FINALLY

Do you ever have a to-do list that just seems like it's never-ending? Over the last few years, it's the time when my home improvements that I did twenty years ago are now needing updated or repaired. And, getting to things that have been waiting their turn for a few years as well. Today, I'm finally ... READ the POST

Repurposed Rolling Pins

It's that time again! Take a peek at the last of my Curb le Chic haul (aka. #trashure). I just had to nab that enamel pail full of those goodies. How about some repurposed rolling pins fun? Also, don't forget I found those mini houses in there from my last project from this haul and ... READ the POST

Upcycled Cast Iron Sign

What's new, everybody? Or better yet, what's left? It's the next round of these curbside finds (aka. #trashure) and my eye is focuses on that red piece. Would you have nabbed it? It's intriguing, at least to me, and definitely not trash-worthy. I'm thinking an upcycled cast iron sign sounds fun. ... READ the POST

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
