Vintage Bookcase with Secretary Desk

Are you one to have a hard time passing up a deal? tsk. I honestly have moments and I believe this is one of them. A local ministry thrift shop often has pieces like this (enter in previous bookcase makeover HERE). While I have stopped shipping furniture all over the continental USA, I am sticking ... Farmhouse Patriotic Pig

Already it's the last Tuesday of the month and that means it's Reduce, Reuse, REFASHION time. woot! It's a time I set aside to (for the most part) get my stitch fix either by hand or machine. However, some projects include not stitching but simply recreating a fashion item into another form. Visit ... READ the POST

Curbside Side Table Rescue

When you're out taking your daily walk with you dog during spring clean-up, what do you do? Do you (1) bring a wagon? (2) make a mental map of #trashure loot? (3) keep on walking because saving good from the landfill ain't your thang. Honestly, I used to drive around more and peruse while shopping ... READ the POST

Reclaimed Store Sign

I suppose it's well-known that I don't like to get rid of things that can certainly be used for another or higher purpose. Take this door, for instance. It came off a gun cabinet that I repurposed into a quilt cabinet, and it went viral (see HERE). If you look in that post, you'll see the bottom ... READ the POST

Heywood Wakefield Side Table

Do you ever get caught without your camera and you find a pot-o-#trashure? I was on my way to pick up my daughter from practice and drove by this ginormous pile of stuff that included several end tables, coffee tables, beds, etc. I didn't have time to stop, but figured if it was still there on my ... Each year when spring rolls around, there's anticipation of buds appearing on flowers, new life, and the return of life such as our feathered friends. However, in my area, there's also the anticipation of #trashure. Yup. Shopping Curb le Chic courtesy of our local city clean-up is what fires up many ... READ the POST

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
