Painted Side Table with Grain Sack Design

Isn't it hard to see past the obvious sometimes? I spied this sad little thing in the thrift store and wondered its story. It definitely is damaged and is obviously unwanted. Per my usual, I buy the sorry sight and bring it home for a fun makeover into a painted side table. Time for some DIY elbow ... READ the POST

Mini Thrift Store Makeovers for Home Decor

With risking the chance of sounding like a broken record, I'm going to say it again...the wood section of the thrift store is a veritable gold mine. Totally! If it is wood, it can be altered. Take a peek at what my daughter and I picked up while out one day. We're excited to share with you some mini ... READ the POST

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
