Repurposed Planter ~ Patio Decor Refreshed

Summer is in high gear and soon we will be thinking about fall. (gasp…did I just say that?) But now, I am thoroughly enjoying all that summer has to offer. My favorite is especially the outdoor times and all there is to relish. Last week, I shared with you my curbside chest makeover and promised to show you what I would create with this wire holder thingy. After having it for a year trying to decide what to do with it, I finally settled on turning it into a repurposed planter. Yes, a planter.

Wire Holder Finds New Purpose with the Help of Prodigal Pieces | www.prodigalpieces.com

So many of you guessed it was a canning jar lifter…nope. It doesn’t hold any of them as the openings are too small. Some suggested a glass holder from the 60’s, and that was my first guess too because of the design and rubber tips. You can see more of the same on Google. Succulent Planter from Broken Bird Feeder

A new day and a new repurposing project for you! Earlier this week, I showed you what I did with a curbside credenza and promised to show you a crafty project today. So…without further adieu, I am showing you how I created a faux succulent planter from a broken bird feeder. (drum roll please…)

Easter Cross made from Repurposed Materials

Earlier this week, I showed you my farmhouse metal art that came from repurposing a couple of quirky thrift store finds. At that time, I promised I would show you what I did with the other antique table leg I had left of a set. Here is my stash for today that I’m going to turn into an Easter cross (since the glorious holiday is fast-approaching), and because it’s Power Tool Challenge time! Woot! Check out the end of the post for my blogger friend’s projects too.

Pile of Reclaimed Parts for Easter Cross | Prodigal Pieces | www.prodigalpieces.com

Most might see a pile of trash, but this would-be junk is perfect for my vision. In this “mess” is a vintage cake pan, a piece of pallet wood, and crib rail spindles. Same as in my last project, I use my drill to Read more
