Updated Picnic Basket

There may still be a foot of snow on the ground, but that doesn’t mean we can think of summer, right? I have an updated picnic basket project for you that will give the warm fuzzies no matter what time of year.

Take a peek at what followed me home.

While I can honestly say that I am a basket lover through and through, I haven’t acquired any as of late but rather have been giving them away.

When I moved into my new home, I was determined to only bring things I NEED.

I have a picnic basket for my embroidery floss, many baskets for storage and such.

So, I’m literally smitten with them in all shapes and sizes. I even love making them! (see one of my baskets HERE)

With that, let’s get on to this makeover, shall we? Tap/click the text or image below.

Aside from that, I also had to pull out my newly installed kitchen sink because the parts I installed were not functioning properly. Thankfully, the parts were replaced, I reinstall it completely, and all is well.

However, I have had much else on my plate as of late including some medical issues that are concerning.

My sweet Loula has had a mass in her teat and so that means she had to have surgery to remove it and are now waiting results to find out if it’s breast cancer.

sigh… my heart.

Here she is with her new toy, a therapy goat, Gregory.

She’s been getting restful treatment and is honestly mind-numbing on how to keep her still while her incisions heal. She is smart and knows her words. So she understands her “Ouch” “Mama Help” and “Wait”.

There is more medical stuff on my plate, but that’s not a as demanding at the moment.

Prayers are coveted!

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
