Boho Mid Century Modern Dresser

What's a mom supposed to do when her kids ask to go to the thrift store? Take a deep breath and reply, "Sure, but you know, I just may find something there that I can't leave and that means hauling it home, etc., etc." They bat an eyelash, but I'm like...I want my storage space open just for a ... DIY Decor from Thrifted Finds the Easy Way

In my neck of the woods, thrifting is a sport. You have the daily divers, the grab-it-and-goers, and the first-timers (the ones looking either completely lost or in total awe). If you don't watch your cart, someone will take your things out of it...seriously. haha! I think it fantastic that places ... READ the POST

Child’s Tea Cart from Repurposed End Table

Today my project begins with this thrifted side table and ends with a child's tea cart. Let the fun begin! This cutie-patootie table came home with me and it sat for a bit because I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. I had many ideas, but I couldn't pick one that jumped out at me. I had ... Chemical-Free Oven Cleaning with Steam Machine

Who doesn't love a shortcut to a chore? We all have different tasks that need done on daily basis, and then there are those that we kinda keep pushing to the backburner because let's face it...they're no fun. I love a clean oven, but doing the cleaning is not one of my favorite things to do. ... READ the POST

Vintage Nesting Tables Updated the Easy Way

You would think by now I would have learned my lesson that there will be true gems that pop out at me at a thrift store. It's happened time and time again, and this particular time was no different. If you remember in my recent post, I scored an antique library table and refinished it - see in this ... READ the POST

Thrifted Candelabras Meet Shabby Chic

You would think that after all these years that I have been doing #trashure hunting and fleatiquing I would be used to finding a diamond in the rough, right? Maybe I should be sorta numb by now to coming upon a rare treat. Thankfully, that doesn't happen, and I still get a jolt when I see things ... READ the POST

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
