Upcycled Spindle Storage Rack

You're only as good as your word, right? Well, I'm here today to keep up my end of the written commitment I made to you when I first began the vintage caned chair upcycle. While I'm happy with what became of the main part of the chair, I totally couldn't let the dowel spreaders go to waste. Let's ... READ the POST

DIY Sling Bag Refashioned

As each month rolls by I get excited to present another edition of my Reduce, Reuse, REFASHION fun. The last Tuesday of the month comes quickly and this one kinda came up fast without me realizing it. Does that happen to you? You're so busy that time flies by? oy! With that in mind, I did come up ... READ the POST

Reclaimed Wall Clock Cabinet

As promised in my last post, I'm back with this vintage clock that a friend offered to me. I'll admit, I adore clocks with the best of them. However, when their works stop running, they still have a purpose of some DIY fun. I've made clocks and even repurposed others as SEEN HERE. This time around ... READ the POST

Vintage Tablecloth Upcycled Doll

Don't you love when people get you and can lead you to treasures? I was stopping by to deliver some donations to a local ministry thrift store. While there, Lissa (a wonderful volunteer and kindred spirit), approached me and said, "Did you see that stash of vintage linens over there?" I'd love to ... READ the POST

Upcycled Fence Panel Tote & Sign

It's a good day when I can say that I'm able to not only rescue #trashure from the landfill but also have some creative fun along the way. I've listed all the items in my loot below. However, today, I'm tackling an upcycled fence panel project that will show you two ways to recreate these trashed ... READ the POST

DIY Bamboo Yarn Art

As the time of summer is slowly slipping away, it's when I take time to purge a bit so I can have a workshop that I can feel sane in. haha. I'm sure we all know the feeling of clutter and how invigorating it is to be free of such fuss. With that, I decide what to keep, what to donate, and what to ... READ the POST

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
