A new day and a new repurposing project for you! Earlier this week, I showed you what I did with a curbside credenza and promised to show you a crafty project today. Eventually, I was out looking for one thing and then found this child's DIY wooden chest stuffed in the back. ot only is it totally sporting the 1980's vibe, but also begging me ... READ the POST

Distress Paint with Petroleum Jelly

Earlier this week I showed you this vintage chest of drawers and promised you a makeover. To begin with, I thought it would be fun to use this piece to show you how to easily distress paint to create texture and a feel of days gone by. She was driving home and saw that a neighbor had placed this table on the curb, and she knew that my furniture lovin' heart might be interested in the table. I quickly agreed and she said, "Do you want the clock too?" ... READ the POST

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
