I am aiming to encourage you to reduce waste, reuse what you have on hand, and refashion it into something for yourself, your ... READ the POST

Upcycled Bird Cage for Farmhouse Decor

I doubt I'm the only one that sees bird cages at garage sales or thrift stores and gets a quickened heart rate. My kids and I adore birds, but don't keep any of them caged up. However, the cages themselves are so unique in design that they can be a work of art. Take this one for instance. It is ... READ the POST

Upcycled Serving Trays from Bar Cart Parts

This time around I am sharing how these cast-off Target bar cart parts get turned into upcycled serving trays. Hooray! Would you have passed up these bar cart pieces if offered to you? Upcycled Footboard into Home & Garden Decor

It's not a surprise I love a good challenge. However, this time around, I bring home this solitary footboard even though I really didn't have room, but I'd take it. Do you feel an upcycled footboard project coming on? {{dramatic music begins}} I receive this in late summer and I tucked it in ... READ the POST

Larissa looks at things with fresh eyes, she problem solves creatively, and I love how she uses her "stash" of valuable "junk" in the process.

What attracted me to Prodigal Pieces at first was the business name. What kept me interested is her opening up to share her life with her readers. She shares her beautiful creativity, has tutorials in her blog and takes what was old and makes it new again. I have several of her beautiful pieces decorating my home.
